Obituary of Michael Lucas
Michael Lucas, 84 of White Twp NJ died at home on Saturday December 8, 2018.
He was born in Oxford NJ, October 19, 1934. He was the son of the late George and Mary (Rudy) Lucas.
Michael served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He worked as a painter in the maintenance department at M&M Mars in Hackettstown NJ.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 0528 in White Twp. NJ. He was a member of the Chapter 14 Forks of the Delaware Archaeology Association. Along with his good friend Wayne Hotchkin they would scour the local fields in search of Arrowheads. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing and was a member of the M&M Friday night bowling league.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Leokadia (Wachelka) Lucas, two sons Mark Lucas and his wife Lori of Nazareth PA, Scott Lucas of White Twp. NJ, two daughters; Michelle Lucas and her companion James Raub of Harmony Twp NJ , Lisa Lucas of Harmony Twp NJ, and two grandchilden, Matthew and Michael. He is also survived by his faithful companion Suzie, his Jack Russell Terrier.
Michael was one of four children, including brothers Joseph and George and a sister Maryann Witnak.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 12, 2018 at 11AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment in the Summerfield Cemetery, White Twp NJ.
